Dr. Amanda Mireles is an Optometrist with an additional Glaucoma Specialist Certification. She first became introduced to the world of Optometry when she worked for Baylor College of Medicine studying and recovering cornea tissue for transplant. She received her Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude at the University of Houston in 2011. She subsequently achieved a Doctorate of Optometry Cum Laude from the University of Houston in 2017, where she received specialty training in Dry Eye Disease, Pediatrics, Contact Lenses and Neuroscience.

She enjoys helping patients with corneal dystrophies and degenerations, dry eye disease, ambylopia, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and autoimmune conditions. Her treatment philosophy is educating patients about their health conditions so they are best enabled to make informed decisions about their treatment.

When she isn’t seeing patients, Dr. Mireles is an avid reader and enjoys yoga, hiking and karaoke with her daughter and husband. They are welcoming a little bundle of joy to the family in April 2021!
