On April 12th, 2024, CAMO Rescue held their 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament and Silent Auction at the beautiful High Meadow Ranch Golf Course in Magnolia, Texas. The purpose of this annual event is to raise awareness and donations towards CAMO Rescue’s efforts to rescue and rehabilitate the many stray, shelter, and owner surrender dogs in need. CAMO Rescue believes that animals, as living creatures, are entitled to a quality life, respect, and compassion. Additionally, CAMO partners with many shelters to help them reach the same goal. CAMO Rescue offers these animals life, health, and a forever home.
For the third consecutive year, Dr. Christy Jew has been a sponsor for this charity golf tournament and fundraiser. This year, TSO Magnolia was a Gold Sponsor and Dr. Jew also volunteered her time both at the tournament/silent auction as well as for many weeks prior organizing the event details along with the other members of the CAMO Rescue special events team. Additionally, TSO Magnolia donated two silent auction baskets filled with Maui Jim sunglasses, tumblers, beach towels, hats, etc.
CAMO specializes in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to a fearful nature or special medical needs. Funds are crucial for providing nourishment, enrichment, major medical and routine care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services for the rescue dogs. At this year’s golf tournament and silent auction fundraiser, CAMO was able to raise an incredible $20,000 to help rescue dogs!
Dr. Jew has volunteered and fostered with CAMO Rescue for the last four years and enjoys spending her time outside of the office working with the 50+ newly rescued dogs at the CAMO Magnolia Kennel as well as her revolving door of 2-3 foster dogs in her own home.
Giving back to the community can be done in a variety of ways. However, the best and most impactful way to be involved in your community is by supporting a single cause you care and are passionate about.
