To say the past three weeks has been disruptive is a significant understatement. To expect that April will be better is a sincere expression of optimism. We can hope for our ability to “flatten the curve,” and each day do our part to follow the CDC Guidelines for the next 30 days.

The TSO corporate office continues to work remotely, with everyone available each day throughout the week. We suspended all travel and travel-related activities along with all entertainment expenses. I know you don’t need unnecessary people in your office right now, and we want to be frugal with the small stream of revenues that we receive. We are meeting each week to review finances and are committed to maintaining good stewardship of the company’s money.

With the creation of the COVID-19 Resource Center, we intend to provide you with up to date information that is current and from trusted sources. We continue to work with Stibbs & Co. attorneys at law to provide you with guidance to make wise decisions for your practice.

Our priority is to provide our members with the information and the help they need to successfully navigate this time of financial challenge and public health crisis. We are holding internal video conferences to train our Regional Managers on how to help their members to access federal funding programs, state unemployment benefits, and the SBA Payroll Protection Program.

Communication is critical at a time like this, and we will continue to provide frequent and relevant information. If you have any questions or need anything that we can provide, please don’t hesitate to pick up a phone, send an email or text. You can reach me anytime, any day by calling or texting 281-433-1924 or by email at jdmarvin@tso.com.

I am confident that the same organization that was built in the 1930s and endured the national challenge of World War II, survived 9/11 and uncertainty, has weathered floods and hurricanes will get through this national crisis as well. I am praying for each of you, your families, and your practices. Stay safe and stay healthy.
