Dr. Sandra Bui was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.

While in optometry school, Dr. Bui was involved in many organizations. She held leadership positions in the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA), National Optometric Student Association (NOSA), and Optometric Practice Management Association.

Dr. Bui received clinical training at Neuro-Ophthalmology of Texas with Dr. Rosa Tang and HOPE community clinic. She has received various awards and recognitions including the Zelda Schiffman Neuro-Ophthalmology Clinical Award, Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, Vision Rehabilitation Leadership Award, Hopping Caring Doctor Endowment, National Optometric Association Scholarship, and Distinguished Optometry Student Volunteer Award.

Dr. Bui is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, National Optometric Association, and Harris County Optometric Society.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, karaoke, and spending time with family and friends. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Peter, and has a fur baby Great Dane named Lana.
