Dr. David R. Lopez, a therapeutic optometrist, received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1973. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1975. In 2001 he completed additional training and received his license to practice as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.

The Meyerland TSO practice offers comprehensive vision and eye health examinations, contact lens fittings, and LASIK and cataract co-management.

Dr. Lopez has been associated with TSO since 1977. He is a current member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and the Harris County Optometric Society.

Dr. Lopez is a great eye doctor. I have required corrective vision wear since the second grade and have used TSO most of my life. Dr. Lopez is as good as it gets. He spends time with you, listens to your concerns, and tries to find the best fit for your lifestyle. He will also not hesitate to refer you to an ophthalmologist should you require it. I find the other people in the office to be okay to deal with, nothing really good or really bad. If you want in and out in a timely manner, Dr. Lopez is your guy.

Meyerland TSO, the offices of Dr David Lopez and Dr. Allan Ring is conveniently located at 724 Meyerland Plaza Mall between Bed Bath and Beyond and a Palais Royal. Meyerland Plaza Mall is located at the southwest corner of Beechnut St. and the 610 West Loop South. Meyerland Texas State Optical has been serving Meyerland, Braeswood, Bellaire and the surrounding area's since 1957.
