Dr. Abigail Arteaga was born and raised in Austin, TX. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then went on to complete her optometric education at the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated Magna Cum Laude. During her fourth-year externships, Dr. Arteaga specialized in ocular disease, primary eye care, dry eye, specialty contact lens fittings, and cataract surgery co-management.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family in Austin and going to dog parks with her German Shepherd, Achilles.
