Wow! What a Vision Quest. The best one yet. Inside-out, it starts with me. What a great concept. There were many vendors, TOA staff, and our CE speaker that commented on how this was the best meeting that they had attended. I once again tip my hat to our amazing staff. Please make it a point to set aside time next year to attend.
It was great re-connecting with many of our TSO doctors, and meting new members and their staff. Not to kick a dead horse, but I learn so much from others at these meetings that it makes the days away from my office worth it. Many of my close friends were recognized during our meeting. It’s good to see Drs. Anderson, Fortenberry, House, Blount & Kimball getting recognized for their accomplishments.
Speaking of Dr. Fortenberry, you may have known she had been recognized as the Texas Young Optometrist of the Year. But were you aware that she has received that honor from the AOA also? This honor reflects on UHCO, RSO, optometry in Texas and Texas State Optical. With her recent award and past TOA presidents Drs Blount and Katz, our tag line should be…”Creating Leaders in our Profession since 1936.” I am proud to call them my colleagues and even prouder to call them friends.
Well, it’s already July. Have you looked at your six-month numbers? Are you on track to achieve annual goals? Have you set goals for the year? If not it’s never too late to start. We have a great program for marketing this summer. It involves multiple pairs and New York. Get your staff involved, make a plan, and achieve your goals. Remember, inside-out, it starts with ME.
