The TOA has made a huge commitment to staff education at this year’s convention because we believe that good medical practice is dependent on great staff. For the first time in many years there will be dual track continuing education courses for staff.
The first track will focus on advanced paraoptometric education, which is at a significantly higher level of education than previous years. Medical assistants will be educated with the emphasis on understanding patient eye disease. Education will focus on the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and contact lenses.
A second track will be focused more on practice management, billing and coding, contact lenses and opticianry.
Staff can choose to attend the courses based on their level of education and the practice’s needs, so each person is ensured a full educational opportunity.
We would encourage doctors to bring their key staff members to experience quality, professional education. We believe that it will help their practices rise above the competition and provide excellent patient care. It is both a reward and incentive for the people that keep our offices successful.
