Symposia, a medical conference for all doctors of optometry, was hailed as a resounding success by all who attended last week during the inaugural event. Symposia was held on October 22 in Dallas, Texas at the Hilton Anatole hotel.
The limited seating conference received attendance from optometrists from across Texas. The event opened with conference faculty Drs. Jill Autry, Marc Bloomenstein and Scot Morris identifying the key concerns for optometrists who have the desire to strengthen the practice of ocular medicine in their practice.
The curriculum included opportunities for attendees to participate in digital live polls and engage in open discussion on a variety of topics that allowed them to discover vital take-away strategies that can be implemented in their offices immediately.
Among other topics, attendees learned how to properly handle coding, identify and evaluate metrics, greatly improve the patient waiting experience, and an understanding for billing for a systemic disease and ocular disease that are related. All doctors gained the knowledge for improving their medical practice.
