March 2019 z 3 TSO Sponsored TOA Keynote Speaker The Doctors of Texas State Optical continued their tradition of support for the Texas Optometric Association annual convention in new and innovative ways. This year at the TOA Convention, Dr. Alexandar Chen represented the Doctors of TSO as the presenter to introduce the TOA special key note speaker, Chef Jeff. Jeff Henderson, otherwise known as Chef Jeff is the creator of Food Network’s reality series, “The Chef Jeff Project,” host of “Family Style with Chef Jeff,” and the star of the TV series, “Flip My Food with Chef Jeff,” he is also the best-selling author of two books. Prior to bringing Chef Jeff on stage, Dr. Chen delivered an impactful speech about the future of optometry and the benefits of being a part of the TSO family. Dr. Chen did a fantastic job pairing an impactful speaker with TSO. Chef Jeff proceeded to bring a story of inspiration with his emotional journey of redemption from the streets to the stove, sharing real-life strategies to help all in attendance achieve their dreams. The Doctors of Texas State Optical held their annual special Dessert Reception for the Top Ophthalmic Partners (TOPS) later Thursday evening following the yearly TOPS Banquet, and supported the convention as an exhibitor visiting with members and prospective members during the meeting’s exhibit hall hours.
