March 2018 l 17 Vision NEW! Entering post-cataract claims on spectera.com We have simplified the process for submitting post-cataract claims! You are now able to file a claim for post- cataract materials without delay, using the same submission method as your other claims —spectera.com, EDI and HCFA included. You will no longer be required to submit the paper form to customer service—simply log in to spectera.com and utilize the claim entry functionality. This will save you and your staff time, and will allow your patients to have immediate access to their post-cataract benefits. Here’s how the new process works: 1 Log in to spectera.com, and find your patient by using the “verify member eligibility” feature on the home page. Be sure to confirm your patient has post-cataract benefits. In order for the claim to be submitted, post-cataract benefits must be present and the member must be eligible.
