July 2018 z 27 Patient Information Button Now Available for Humana-Covered Patients When viewing eligibility for patients covered by Humana Vision Insight and Humana Medicare plans, you’ll see a new Health Information button on the Member Details page that allows you to download the patient’s medical history, prescription drugs and chronic conditions. Getting a more complete picture of your patients’ health is as simple as the click of a button! • Simply click the green button to download a .pdf file of the Humana Member Summary, which you can easily save and/or print. • Return to the open browser tab to continue viewing eligibility and benefit information. • Humana Member Summaries are available only for those enrolled in both Humana medical and vision plans. If a summary isn’t available, you’ll receive a message: What you’ll see The Humana Member Summary delivers an integrated health history for patients who have both vision and medical benefits through Humana. You’ll see recent care they’ve received, chronic conditions that could affect their vision and a list of prescriptions on file. Think of the time you can save by reviewing this information instead of asking the patient to start from scratch. Download a handy reference of what you’ll see. Your access to the information is Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant. EyeMed’s provider contract covers the sharing of this information between the health plan and the physician/ provider. The important thing is that you review the summary for information that will help you provide better, more integrated eye care to the patient.
