Date:                     February 15, 2012

Time:                    1:00-2:30 pm, Central Time

Cost:                     $0

Event Description – The Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program is a financial incentive for eligible professionals and group practices to participate in a voluntary quality reporting program.  Eligible individual professionals and group practices that use a qualified eRx system and report on their adoption and use of the eRx system may qualify for an incentive bonus.  Satisfactory reporting of eRx data will allow the provider a 1% payment.  This bonus can be in addition to incentive payments received for successful reporting for the Physician Quality Reporting System.

Providers who do not prescribe electronically in the first six months of 2012 could see a reduction in the 2013 Physician Fee Schedule allowed amounts as a non-participation “penalty” for not utilizing the eRx technology.

    • Registry-based reporting.
