Dr. Shane Tibiletti graduated with honors from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he was nominated for an award recognizing students for their excellence in pediatric optometry.
While in school, Dr. Tibiletti completed a rotation at Bellaire Family Eye care in Houston which included a state of the art vision therapy center and specialty contact lens center. There, he gained experience in helping patients with corneal disorders such as keratoconus regain functional vision through the use of specialty contact lenses, as well as experience in managing binocular vision disorders. He also spent time at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic, an inner-city community clinic in Dallas that focuses on managing patients with advanced eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma.
Dr. Tibiletti focuses on developing excellent patient rapport and maintaining a friendly, open atmosphere. He also aims to address each patient's individual concerns and prides himself on taking the time to thoroughly educate each patient about their ocular health. He is experienced in treating eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, eye injuries, red eyes, as well as co-managing cataract surgery postoperative care. While practicing, he has developed an interest in slowing the progression of near-sightedness for his younger patients with rapidly increasing myopia. He is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association and enjoys live music and spending time outdoors in his spare time.
