Provider Statement

A native Texan, Dr. Linda Matocha grew up just south of Houston in Freeport, TX. She did her undergraduate work at University of Houston and graduated from the University of Houston College Of Optometry in 1985. After working for an HMO in Houston for 4 years, Dr. Matocha joined the TSO family in November 1989 at the TSO Memorial City location and later joined the TSO Museum District team in the fall of 2013. Dr. Matocha now splits her time between TSO Memorial City and TSO Museum District. Dr. Matocha is a Therapeutic Optometrist who practices full-scope Optometry including: comprehensive eye examinations, all types of contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment and co-management of LASIK and cataracts.

She and her husband Hal, a native Houstonian and Petroleum Landman, moved from the suburbs to the Museum District area in 2006. Avid sport fans, they support the Houston home teams in baseball, football, basketball and soccer. They combined their love of travel and sports by visiting every major league baseball team's stadium. In 2005, they finished this quest and now want to see the Astros in all the ballparks. As of 2013, they have only missed seeing the Astro’s at the Oakland A's and Texas Rangers stadiums. Together, Dr. Matocha and Hal have also been to all 50 states in the United States. To keep balanced, they also enjoy the Musicals at the Hobby Center and spending time with their very large extended family.

GOD BLESSED US to find this location in Houston. IT is very convenient and just down right awesome!! They Scheduled my mom in for a visit THE SAME EXACT DAY I CALLED!! Which was very helpful because we were unaware that our original apt. was Scheduled in Texas City, Texas and we had previously traveled 3hrs, the day before, to get to Houston where we THOUGHT it was located. We called several obstetricians in that area but TSO Museum was the most helpful, understanding, caring and patient. DENISE LIRA deserves 5 stars!! ***** She helped my mom in so many ways, she made her feel comfortable and also confident with her new soon to be glasses!! I just may drive 3hrs again to get me a new pair of glasses when the time comes, thanks again Denise Lira from TSO Museum in Houston TX -O-munique-topic

Good selection of glasses, friendly people. My first visit there I had called ahead for an appointment and on appointment day they had already pulled my benefits and a full explanation without any input from me other than company name. It doesn't feel like you're taking a number for service. Very nice experience all around. -Hoang Bui
