When it comes to something as important and precious as vision, experience makes all the difference in the world. Dr. Dixon Golden has been serving the East Texas area for over 30 years. He is trained in the latest ocular diagnostic and treatment techniques.

He is a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. In addition to providing eye care services at Nacogdoshes Texas State Optical, he has lectured extensively to professional organizations. He is an adjunct associate professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry. He is currently serving as Chairman on the Texas Optometry Board, a governor appointed position.

Dr. Golden is currently serving as President of the Center Independent School District and is completing his 15th year on that board. He has been married to his wife, Melody, for 33 years and they have 3 children and 1 grandson. Dr. Golden is also a deacon for the First Baptist Church of Center.
