Originally practicing in Manhattan, New York City, Dr. Danielle Richardson relocated to Houston where her significant other works for a technology company. Dr. Richardson is from Indianapolis, Indiana and a graduate of Indiana University School of Optometry. She has been in the Optometry field for 5 years and specializes in Therapeutic Optometry, contact lens fittings and complications, and LASIK surgery co-management. Dr. Richardson has worn glasses since she was in 3rd grade and contact lenses since age 10. She always looked forward to her annual Optometrist visits growing up. In college she knew she wanted to be a healthcare professional and Optometry was a natural fit! She loves improving people’s lives by keeping their eyes healthy and enhancing eyesight through the latest optometric technologies. Dr. Richardson knows firsthand how an evolving world requires evolving eye care.
Dr. Richardson’s professional interests include digital eye strain, contact lenses and Dry Eye disease. Outside of the office, Dr. Richardson is a yoga instructor who thoroughly enjoys practicing yoga in her spare time. She also has a women’s wellness company that produces yoga retreats. Holistic health and wellness, fashion and living a conscious and sustainable lifestyle are some of Dr. Richardson’s most valuable interests. Dr. Richardson also enjoys a good book, watching IU basketball trying new fitness classes and watching interesting documentaries.
