We want to give our heartfelt congratulations to Drs. Sabol and Turner for their outstanding achievement and remarkable growth of 41.49% from 2022 to 2023. We want to ensure their incredible milestone doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s impressive how much they have grown as a practice in the last couple of years all while balancing motherhood, relocating the New Braunfels office, and expanding the Seguin location.
Growing a practice by nearly 50% takes immense dedication and effort, so we were eager to learn more about Drs. Sabol and Turner’s journey to this incredible achievement. In an interview with them, they shared their experiences managing the dual roles of motherhood and business ownership. Both acknowledged the challenges but emphasized the importance of having a strong business partner and a reliable support system. Dr. Turner expressed deep gratitude for her supportive husband, whose help at home allows her to focus on growing her businesses.
Setting non-negotiables has been key to Dr. Sabol’s efficiency in her profession and mental well-being. Her top priority is her family, and she understands the value of taking time off to maintain her sanity and overall health. One of her firm boundaries is leaving work at work. Dr. Sabol avoids working on Mondays and Saturdays, enjoying a three-day weekend that helps her recharge and return to work refreshed each week. During her four workdays, she maximizes her time, focusing intently on her business and making the most of “crunch time.”
Having an exceptional office manager has been a game-changer for Drs. Sabol and Turner and their practice. Bringing Kim Rowland on board as Office Manager has enabled them to dedicate more time to patient care and consistently deliver exceptional eye care to each individual they serve. This shift has also helped them build a strong office culture and align their staff’s roles and purpose with their vision for focused patient care. Both doctors agree that Kim has made a significant impact by efficiently managing the team and frame boards, streamlining office procedures to enhance productivity and business processes, and overseeing the daily operations of both locations.
Participating in local community events and engaging in local marketing has also helped Drs. Sabol and Tuner grow their practices. They are members of the New Braunfels and Seguin Chambers of Commerce. Last year, they became members of the New Braunfels Rotary Club, which has greatly enhanced word-of-mouth marketing. The Rotary’s strong presence in the community through service projects and well-attended weekly meetings has created valuable opportunities for building connections and increasing visibility. Drs. Sabol and Turner actively support numerous school and sports organizations in their communities. They’ve also participated in local Trunk or Treat events and Chamber vendor fairs. Additionally, they’ve given presentations to school nurses in both the Seguin and New Braunfels ISDs, addressing common pediatric eye issues. These presentations have led to several referrals directly from schools when students fail vision screenings or have eye infections. To further support these students, they’ve provided each school campus with a few “free eye exam” vouchers to assist those who may not have the resources to seek eye care or obtain necessary materials.
