Doctors of TSO to Attend State Convention

The Doctors of Texas State Optical will be in full-force at this year’s convention of the Texas Optometric Association.

Members of the TSO network and their staff will earn continuing education credits, catch-up with optometry school classmates and build new  relationships with profession leadership and industry.

The Doctors of Texas State Optical sponsor two major events at the convention that have become annual traditions. On Thursday night TSO members host a VIP dessert reception held in the Presidential Suite of the Renaissance Arboretum. This special and exclusive event features a large array of specialty dessert items and a full compliment of dessert cocktails, wines, liqueurs, coffees and cappuccinos.
“The Thursday night dessert reception sponsored by TSO has become a very special way to start each year’s convention,” said TOA Executive Director BJ Avery, “people look forward to catching up and connecting with leaders in the state and national association as
well as the largest, convention, financial supporters from industry.”

During the evening Friday, following a day of lectures, education and delegate work, the TSO Network can be found in the exhibit hall meeting young optometrist and offering the opportunity of owning their own practice.

On Saturday night, another tradition that has become the second bookend  event is the Saturday night Jazz Cafe which follows the installation and awards banquet. After the annual banquet which delivers well-deserved recognition to leaders in Texas optometry
and serves to install the new association board members and president, the Doctors of Texas State Optical host an evening of specialty desserts, coffees, wine and warm conversation. A hotel ballroom is transformed into a contemporary, night club atmosphere and complimented with the smooth jazz stylings of Randy Windham and Nick Greer.

The Doctors of Texas State Optical recognize the importance of supporting the profession of optometry and use this opportunity each year to demonstrate one of their core values of leadership through service.
